drops like stars

i was reading a book by Rob Bell, and in it he told a story about how he and his nephew were one day watching the rain through a window. his nephew continuously said, "stars, stars, stars." Rob, confused by his words, looked at his sister-in-law and asked,"why does he keep saying the word star?" she replied,"he believes that when a raindrop hits the ground, for a split second, that it looks like a star."

i had never looked at it that way.

i pray that you may see drops like stars...

sanger high, class of 2012- i love you guys.

as senior year resumes, i notice how much i am going to miss this.

yesterday was my last homecoming.

this volleyball season will be my last.

no more highschool football games.

i will have one more winter formal. sadie hawkins dance. prom.

i will have my last track&field season this year.

and before i know it, it's graduation day.

last views at classmate's faces.

last embraces.

tears streaming down our cheeks.

separate colleges; separate lives.

zero phone calls.

unspoken words.

unseen faces.

and before we know it, we're receiving each other's wedding inviatons.

birth announcements.

baby showers.

funerals.

it's a sore subject.

but it's true.

we wanna believe that we're gonna see each other and nothing's gonna change.

but, everything is gonna change.

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:

a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent an a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace."

hope now

as senior year comes along, yes, you tend to worry. and yes, i am worrying. but, i pray for my future. and God sometimes has different plans for your life. like, my dream from the time i first played volleyball was to be a professional volleyball player. but, as i went into high school, i prayed for what God had planned for my life. my purpose.
i attend the well community church, and we did a study through the book of Nehemiah. while studying that book, God began stirring something in me. yes, it's scary. and yes, i wasn't planning this for my life, but God WAS. if you're at all wondering what it is He has laid on my heart, this is it. after high school, i plan to go into missions. my heart is for the homeless, and the lost, and the broken. because i too have felt those things. my parents died when i was a kid. as a kid, i was emotionally neglected, and unloved in many ways. but, i always knew the Big Man ustairs always had bigger plans for my life. and, i cannot wait until i pursue my purpose in this life. and wherever He leads me, i will follow...

fell in love with this poem...

Having a Coke with you
is even more fun than going top San Sebastain, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne
or being sick to my stomach on the Travesera de Gracia in Barcelona.
Partly because in your orange shirt you look like a better happier St. Sebastian.
Partly because of my love for you, partly because of your love for yoghurt.
Partly because of the fluoresent orange tulips around the birches.
Partly because of the secrecy our smiles take on before people and statuary.
It is hard to believe when I'm with you that there can be anything as still
as solemn as unpleasently definitive as statuary when right in front of it.

In the warm New York 4 o'clock light we are drifting back and forth
between each other like a tree breathing through its spectacles

And the portrait show seems to have no faces in it at all, just paint,
you suddenly wonder why in the world anyone ever did them.
I look at you and I would rather look at you than all the portraits in the world...

this so inspired me...

“Do you give the horse his strength or clothe his neck with a flowing mane? Do you make him leap like a locust, striking terror with his proud snorting? He paws fiercely, rejoicing in his strength, and charges into the fray. He laughs at fear, afraid of nothing; he does not shy away from the sword. The quiver rattles against his side, along with the the flashing spear and lance. In frenzied excitement he eats up the ground; he cannot stand still when the trumpet sounds.” -Job 39:19-24

pure love.

Robben and Olivia Claire.
I love them both so very much.
They are both so beautiful, sweet, and smiley(:
I am head-over-heels in love with this picture that I took of them.
True love is what is displayed in our household always...
